ABOUT US

The ministry of Word of Life Worship Center began in September of 1989.  God started us off with a very simple vision:  To teach people to HEAR the Word of God, to teach people to BELIEVE the Word of God, and to teach people to DO and OBEY the Word of God.  God has never changed our vision and throughout the years we have been committed to His calling.  Our church began with seven people in a home bible study and, some twenty-five years later, God has given us five buildings and two locations.  But, most important of all, He has given us His Presence.  Many people have been saved, many have been healed by the power of God, many have been delivered and set free, and many lives have been changed b y the awesome power of God's Word !

We believe the Bible to be inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

We believe there is only one true God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Deut. 6:4) (Matt. 28:19) ( 1 John 5:7)
We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that He is God with the Father and the Holy Spirit. (John 1: 1-4) ( 1 Tim. 3:16)
We believe that Jesus was miraculously born from the virgin Mary. (Matt. 1: 18-24)
We believe Jesus lived a sinless life. ( 2 Cor. 5:21) ( 1 John 3:5)
We believe Jesus was crucified and rose from the dead on the third day.

We believe Jesus ascended to heaven and will return to establish His eternal kingdom.

We believe in the absolute Lordship of Jesus Christ and that faith in Him is the only way a person may be saved and enter Heaven.  (Dan. 7: 13-14) (Col. 1: 13-18) (John 14:6) (Rom. 5:1)
We believe a person is saved by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.       (Eph. 2: 8-9)
We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit which enables a believer to live a holy life. ( 2 Peter 1: 2-4) ( 1 John 3: 4-6, 9) (Gal. 5:16)
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues and that it is a separate experience subsequent to salvation.   (Acts 8: 14-17) (Acts 10: 44-48)
We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit (the word of wisdom, the word of knowledge, the gift of faith, the gifts of healing, the working of miracles, the gift of prophecy, the discerning of spirits, the gift of tongues, and the interpretation of tongues) and that they are in operation in the church today.   ( 1 Cor. 12: 1-11) (Rom. 11:29)
We believe in eternal life for the saved and eternal damnation for the lost.   ( 1 John 2: 24-25) (Rev. 20:15) (Rev. 14: 10-11)
We believe that Heaven and hell are real places.       ( 2 Cor. 12: 1-4) (Rev. 4: 1-2) (Mark 9: 42-48) (Rev. 20: 11-15)
We believe that God does not desire anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance and be saved. ( 2 Peter 3:9) ( 1 Tim. 2:4)
